Friendly staff, my husbands pot roast poboy was well stuffed with large tender chunks of meat served with gravy on the side which he found much more convenient than already on the sandwich. My club sandwich had a delicious bacon on it that was large and fit the sandwich! The owner rounded on us and made sure we had everything we needed, even extra napkins for the pot roast poboy.

First visit, definitely not so much a cafe as it is a restaurant, they didn't have breakfast options on the menu.
The overall cleanliness needs WORK!! tables were sticky, the floor had some napkins or paper wrap from straws on it. The staff was friendly. It has a open Kitchen so you can see them prepare your food. However didn't seem to care about hairnets to much in the food prep.
The food however made up for the gloomy and not tidy ambience. We ordered the fried oyster plate which came with fries as well and 2 hush puppies and the shrimp scampi which was surprisingly good! The salads that came with the meals were less than thrilling.
If you're looking for a bite and no other options are available then sure stop in. But I don't think I'll be stopping by again. -

The food is really good home style cooking. But that is about it. Unfortunately, there are no, if any healthy choices on the menu. The salads are basically iceberg lettuce with a lot of different things thrown on. You would think the baked chicken salad would be healthy but it's covered with cheese and bacon. They have no light dressings of any type and their ranch tastes like straight mayonnaise with just a hint of seasoning thrown in. It wouldn't take much of a change to bring in more customers but I guess they don't need it so it stays the same.

I went in during lunch time for a bite to eat. I ordered the chicken fried steak, with mashed potatoes and subbed the veggies for French fries. For a place that claims to be Cajun cooking on the front door, everything was VERY bland. From the gravy to to the overall seasoning of the steak itself. The food took about 5 minutes to come out, which makes me assume the mashed potatoes were premade. The French fries weren't hand cut. Overall, the food just wasn't very good.
The only reasons this doesn't get a 1 star review is the server was very sweet and did a good job, and I was in and out in about 20 minutes.
As always, I'll usually go in for a second time anywhere I review to do an update in order to give a second chance. That being said, I don't have any desire to come back here. It's essentially a more expensive version of Denny's. No thanks!
